·      Cupcake Eating Contest: Test your sweet tooth and competitive spirit in our thrilling cupcake eating contest. Sit down, put your hands behind your back, and be ready to dive in face first. At the buzzer, start eating your 4 cupcakes without using your hands!   Prizes await the fastest eaters!

·      Face Painting: Delight the little ones with vibrant face painting, transforming them into their favorite characters and adding a splash of color to the festivities.

·      Dog Treats: Don’t leave your furry friends at home! We have special treats for your dogs, ensuring they join in the celebration.

·      BBQ Hot Dogs: Savor the taste of authentic American BBQ with complimentary hot dogs, grilled to perfection and served with all the classic toppings.

·      Kids Eat Free: Bring the kids in on Friday, July 5, to receive their free baked good. A special treat for the little ones to continue the celebration!

·      Bake sale for good: On Sunday, July 7, all proceeds will be donated to Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, Kentish Town, London. Enjoy a treat and help the local community.

"Our grand opening on the Fourth of July is the perfect opportunity for everyone to experience the warmth, fun, and deliciousness that defines an American summer. We figured since we are an American Bakery, why not launch on the day that is internationally known for an American Celebration. We can’t wait to share this special day with the community."

Another Bakery? Why?

After living in London for nearly five years, Pamela was often disappointed with the overly sweet and often dry baked goods she encountered. On one occasion after a citywide, 12 stop search for the ‘best cinnamon bun in London’ left her unimpressed and disappointed, she decided to use old family recipes to create her own cinnamon bun. Longing for the familiar flavors of her childhood, and following multiple redundancies in the tech sector, Pamela turned to baking as a source of creativity and joy.

She began sharing her baked creations with friends and family. She kept receiving enthusiastic feedback, with many claiming her treats were the best they’d ever tasted. Inspired, Pamela transformed her passion into a profession, and Big City Buns was born. Named after her flagship product, the American Cinnamon Roll, with the goal to deliver the best cinnamon bun in London.

Pamela founded Big City Buns to offer a taste of American nostalgia to her community. The recipes at Big City Buns are a blend of her family's cherished recipes, secret recipes shared by friends, and the latest food science techniques, ensuring each product is fresh, authentic, and irresistibly delicious. She hopes the bakery will grow into a comfortable local spot where customers can enjoy a slice of genuine American bakery goodness. So far, the customers seem to agree that this bakery delivers the best in London with reviews proclaiming, “Best cinnamon bun in London by a long way” and “Best cinnamon buns and brownies in London”.
